Chain Sling

The Lifmex Chain Sling is constructed from high-strength Grade 80 alloy steel, ensuring durability and reliability for lifting applications. It is heat-treated to enhance tensile strength and wear resistance, while also providing shock absorption. The chain sling is designed for overhead lifting and adheres to strict safety standards.

Technical Details

It features a working load limit (WLL) that specifies the maximum load in direct tension. The chain sizes range from 7 mm to 32 mm, with corresponding WLLs from 1.5 tons to 31.5 tons for single-leg configurations.The chain is equipped with drop-forged hooks that are heat-treated for added strength. Proper sling configurations should be used, avoiding twists or knots in the chain. For storage, it is recommended to hang the chain slings on suitable brackets and protect them from corrosive environments.

Alloy Steel Chain is manufactured specifically for use in chain slings for lifting purposes.
The chain is heat treated for tensile strength and resistance to wear whilst also allowing for shock absorption.

Choices of end fitting – many types of lifting hooks and shackles are available.

Safety Comes First

Never walk or stand under a suspended load.
Always know load weight to avoid sling failure.
Never overload a sling. Never ride on sling or load.
Ensure the load is balanced and will not tilt or fall.
Position hooks of multi-leg slings facing outward from the load. Do not lift on the point of the hook and ensure that the chain is not twisted or knotted.
Never expose chain slings to chemicals, particularly acidic conditions, without consulting the supplier.
